      Hi Brenda,

Thank you for the the question. I would find out what their budget is first and them come in somewhere around there. What is the length of the commercial?

I feel like a sponge that has just soaked up so much information (I just went through all the modules and bonus videos, etc, in three days) that it’s going to take a day or two for it all to soak in and sort out in my brain!

I’m a quick study (thank goodness) and I am so appreciative of all the time and effort you have gone through to provide all this DETAILED information!

Nowhere else have I found anyone willing to go step by step through the process of not just performing the voiceover services, but also the nitty gritty of negotiating with clients, complete with samples of what to say, and what to avoid!

I’ve narrated videos for small companies in the past, but never really knew “the business” like I feel I do now! I look forward to practicing everything I’ve just learned and coming back to show you some voice over career results that I know you’ll be proud of!

I’m also a long-time writer, and by the way, just yesterday I used the “What’s your budget for this project?” line while negotiating a contract for a newspaper column I’ll be writing about Military Veterans’ issues. I sounded even more professional than I usually do, and made an excellent impression upon my client.

    Many thanks again!

Hello Terry I was asked to do a 30 minute talk show at a local radio station how do you charge for that?

    • October 18
      Terry Daniel @ 5:12 pm

      Hi Santanna,

That is a rare request in the VO business but what a great one! I would find out what their budget is and go from there. If it were a regular VO, 30 minutes a pretty lengthy project. Is this a one time gig or are they asking you do it weekly? Monthly?

    Santanna Gadson @ 9:21 pm

Weekly job Terry…Is this good practice for VO? That’s what I really want to do.

It’s not great practice for voiceover because radio broadcasting is a separate planet altogether. Working with a coach on a variety of commercial and narration scripts would be best practice. Let me know if I can help! 🙂

Question about the membership. Once someone has joined can you cancel at anytime or are you locked in at a minimum amount of months?
