Getting started with any chance for securing voice over jobs requires that you take voice over classes to help train your voice. Even those who believe they are capable of getting work without training should take at least one class to get a better idea of what is required. Then you must have the right equipment to work with. This is often just a USB microphone, but there is other software that may be necessary to record your voice.

The most expensive part of this proposition will be creating a professional demo package with background music and sound effects to make you sound as if you are already a professional. This can cost from $1,000 to $3,000 but is a necessary element in obtaining voice over work.
